Rotiboy-Inspired Cream Buns

Inspired by Japanese custard buns, we decided to give these fluffy buns a local twist with a fragrant crispy coffee shell and a decadent bittersweet coffee custard filling. Perfect for breakfast with a cup of your favourite coffee or tea, this recipe is a must try for all coffee lovers out there!

In this class, you will learn:

  • How to make an enriched bread dough from scratch.
  • How to proof and shape bread dough.
  • How to fill bread dough with custard filing.
  • How to make flavoured custard from scratch.
  • How to create a crispy coffee shell on top of your buns.


  • Duration: 3.5 Hours.
  • Type: Full Hands-on.
  • Recommended age: 16 Years Old and Above.
  • Equipment, ingredients and packaging will all be provided.
  • Each student will bake and bring back 6 pieces of coffee buns.

*Students will work INDIVIDUALLY to prepare and shape the dough, as well as to fill and bake their own buns.
