Peanut Butter & Jelly Cake

Re-live your childhood days with the classic PB & J sandwich flavour combination as we take a fun spin on it and transform it into a cake that can be enjoyed across all ages. This is a 3-layered fluffy and nutty Brown Butter Sponge sandwiched between blueberry jam and a peanut butter white chocolate ganache. We will teach you how to decorate your cake using a buttercream frosting technique to achieve clean stripes on your cake, reminiscent of the Smuckers Goober Jar. Come and join us for this fun and exciting class!

About the Course

By attending this course, you will learn the following:

  • How to make a fluffy Brown Butter sponge cake
  • How to prepare Peanut butter white chocolate ganache (Demo Only)
  • How to make a vanilla swiss meringue buttercream
  • To assemble and frost a layered cake with purple buttercream stripes
  • Decorate with white chocolate drip, meringue kisses 

*Decorative items such as meringue kisses and white chocolate drips will be provided and will not be part of the class.


  • Duration: 3.5 Hours
  • Type: Full Hands-on
  • Recommended age: 16 Years Old and Above
  • Equipment, ingredients and packaging will all be provided

*Students will work in PAIRS to bake the cake layers but will assemble and decorate their own 6 " Peanut Butter and Jelly Cake INDIVIDUALLY

  2. Cleaning/Washing will be part of the baking experience.
  3. Fees for scheduled classes must be paid fully in advance to secure your booking. Your booking is only confirmed once full payment has been received.
  4. Once your booking is confirmed, no refunds or transfers to another class will be given.
  5. Payment will be fully forfeited regardless of the unforeseen circumstances. We recommend that you arrange for someone to attend in your place. Please inform us of the person who will be attending in your place.
  6. In the event that the minimum number of participants is not met, the class will be cancelled. We will inform you via email. You can choose to either get a refund of the class fee or attend another class of the same value.

About Vivienne Lim

Vivienne’s passion for pastries has given her the drive to pursue diploma studies in Pastry and Baking at At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy. Through her studies, Vivienne has been inspired to appreciate the science behind pastries and devotes much time to research.

Her previous working stint with BreadTalk and renowned Shangri-la Hotel Singapore has given her many opportunities to improve her skills in terms of baking and decorating various types of cakes and pastries. Believing that desserts are food to the eyes, Vivienne pays special attention to the value of cakes and bread brought forth aesthetically and flavor wise.

As an instructor, she hopes to bring her passion forth through the product she creates and share the joy of learning with students through her skills and knowledge. She also believes that learning goes both ways and looks forward to interacting with like-minded people during class.
