Matcha Lava Tart

Calling all matcha lovers! Join us for an exciting hands-on class in which you will learn the secret techniques of making a perfect tart shell and deliciously oozy matcha lava! You will each bake 4 matcha lava tarts, which will consist of a crisp hazelnut tart shell, matcha lava, a light matcha mousse and crunchy sesame croustillant.


About the Course

By attending this course, you will learn the following:

  • How to prepare a sweet pastry hazelnut tart dough
  • How to effectively line tart rings to achieve a thin and crisp tart
  • How to prepare a matcha crème anglaise and achieve a lava consistency
  • How to whip cream to the right consistency for a pipeable mousse
  • How to bake and handle a brittle (demo only)
  • Assembling and decorating tarts

Class Duration: 3.5 hours

Class Type: Hands on

Bring home a 4 Matcha Lava Tarts, specially baked and decorated by yourself!

All materials will be provided.

Do note that preparation and mixing of ingredients will be done in pairs while assembling of pastries will be individual work.

  1. Duration of class might be extended instead of the stipulated timings.
  2. Cleaning/Washing will be part of the baking experience.
  3. Fees for scheduled classes must be paid fully in advance to secure your booking. Your booking is only confirmed once full payment has been received.
  4. Once your booking is confirmed, no refunds or transfers to another class will be given.
  5. Payment will be fully forfeited regardless of the unforeseen circumstances. We recommend that you arrange for someone to attend in your place. Please inform us of the person who will be attending in your place.
  6. In the event that the minimum number of participants is not met, the class will be cancelled. We will inform you via email. You can choose to either get a refund of the class fee or attend another class of the same value.
