Christmas Peppermint Wreath Cake (Decoration Class)

Create a show stopping cake this season with our Christmas wreath log cake! Learn how to pipe delicate buttercream roses and pine cones for your cake. Participants will frost their own 6” dark chocolate peppermint cake and craft it into a log! To end off, learn how to assemble these decorations on your cake.

About the Course

In this course, you will learn:

  • How to prepare and color Swiss Meringue Buttercream (Demo Only)
  • How to handle different piping tips and floral nails
  • How to pipe buttercream roses, pine cones and leaves.
  • To assemble and frost a layered cake with buttercream and decorate with buttercream floral roses, pine cones, leaves and fresh blackberries.

  • Duration: 3.5 Hours
  • Type: Full Hands-on
  • Recommended age: 16 Years Old and Above
  • Equipment, ingredients and packaging will all be provided

Important Notes: 

  1. Cake layers will be pre-made with the following flavor: Dark Chocolate Peppermint Cake
  2. A portion of buttercream will be pre-made and coloured for the class

*Students will work in PAIRS to make the buttercream but will frost and decorate their own 6" Christmas Peppermint Wreathe Cake INDIVIDUALLY

  1. Duration of class might be extended instead of the stipulated timings.
  2. Cleaning/Washing will be part of the baking experience.
  3. Fees for scheduled classes must be paid fully in advance to secure your booking. Your booking is only confirmed once full payment has been received.
  4. Once your booking is confirmed, no refunds or transfers to another class will be given.
  5. Payment will be fully forfeited regardless of the unforeseen circumstances. We recommend that you arrange for someone to attend in your place. Please inform us of the person who will be attending in your place.
  6. In the event that the minimum number of participants is not met, the class will be cancelled. We will inform you via email. You can choose to either get a refund of the class fee or attend another class of the same value.

Vivienne Lim

Vivienne’s passion for pastries has given her the drive to pursue diploma studies in Pastry and Baking at At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy. Through her studies, Vivienne has been inspired to appreciate the science behind pastries and devotes much time to research.

Vivienne’s passion for pastries has given her the drive to pursue diploma studies in Pastry and Baking at At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy. Through her studies, Vivienne has been inspired to appreciate the science behind pastries and devotes much time to research.

Her previous working stint with BreadTalk and renowned Shangri-la Hotel Singapore has given her many opportunities to improve her skills in terms of baking and decorating various types of cakes and pastries. Believing that desserts are food to the eyes, Vivienne pays special attention to the value of cakes and bread brought forth aesthetically and flavor wise.

As an instructor, she hopes to bring her passion forth through the product she creates and share the joy of learning with students through her skills and knowledge. She also believes that learning goes both ways and looks forward to interacting with like-minded people during class.
