It all began when Yan Ee was 12 years old and her neighbour baked and offered her slice of the warm apple pie. Since then, she has fallen in love with baking.

About Yan Ee

It all began when Yan Ee was 12 years old and her neighbour baked and offered her slice of the warm apple pie. Since then, she has fallen in love with baking.

She bought her own planetary stand mixer with her first paycheck at 16 years old and has never looked back. Due to Yan Ee's immense hunger to learn more about food, she took up a Diploma in food science and nutrition, followed by another degree in food science and technology at the National University of Singapore. Yan Ee has done a few years of research and development in different types of food (baked potato chips, seasoning powders, beverages, ice cream, cakes and bread) while working in Multinational Corporations and also Small Medium Corporations.

"I would love to gain a more global perspective on food development and meet more people that are crazy about food as well, nothing beats a like-minded individual or community. I believe in learning through experience and I enjoy teaching beginners because they are the most creative and unreserved when it comes to creations, I have learned so much more from the people I work with.
